SACRAMENTO – The California Lottery today announced that the big winner of one-half of the incredible $336 million MEGA Millions jackpot from last week has come forward to claim his winnings.

Kevyn Ogawa came to the Lottery’s Van Nuys District Office yesterday with the California ticket that matched the August 28 winning combination of 37, 1, 17, 31, 54 and Mega number 31. Ogawa, who preferred not to be interviewed, elected to take the cash option, making his take home amount worth about $107 million.

The winning ticket was purchased at Kim Ky Noodle, which is located at 1108 South San Gabriel Boulevard in San Gabriel. The other half of the $336 million jackpot was won by a ticket sold in New York. Kim Ky Noodle, will receive a bonus of $832,500 for selling their portion of the jackpot.

Counting Ogawa’s winning ticket, there have been 10 MEGA Millions jackpots won in California, including the historic $315 million jackpot won on November 15, 2005, which was the largest California jackpot ever. MEGA Millions is a multi-state game that is played in California and 11 other states.
