SACRAMENTO - "Make Me a Millionaire," the California Lottery’s TV game show, awarded 12 lucky contestants a total of $106,000 in cash and prizes on this week’s show.
John Barry from Union City is 86 years young and was a fan favorite on this week’s show. Barry won $40,000 playing California Cool and plans to take his family on a Caribbean cruise. He also has one other thing he’d like to do with his winnings - “I want to take my ‘senior friends’ out to lunch,” he said.
Patrick Flautt, an engaged father of two, played the Millionaire Game and won $40,000. Some of his prize will probably go to a college fund for his high school aged daughter and diapers for his infant son.

More than 95 cents of every Lottery dollar is returned to the community in the form of contributions to education, prizes and retail commissions.
